You will receive conscious sedation. Medication is given to you through your IV to help you relax and minimize discomfort as well as a local anesthetic to numb your access site.

NO. The medication used during your procedure impairs your judgement and makes driving dangerous and illegal. You will need a responsible adult to bring you to and from your procedures. Please make arrangements prior to your procedure day.

It is highly recommended that you arrange for someone to stay with you overnight following your procedure.

In most cases, you will be able to have liquids to drink during your recovery period.

A light snack will be provided to patients prior to discharge.

Patients typically feel well after their procedure but may have some tenderness and or bruising at their access site. Physical restrictions are limited but include not driving for 48 hours or submerging the access site in water for 7 days. You’ll be sent home with written instructions related to your post-catheterization care.

You may receive charges from both CVC-ASC, LLC which is the facility fee for your surgical procedure, and your physician’s office, which is their fee for performing your surgery.
